Thai “Wh” Questions for Foreigners

🔯     Thai questions are asked in quite a different way than English questions. Word order of Thai “wh” questions – who, what, where,how, why – is different from the word order of English questions.  Wh" questions in English and Thai are different.  You can see from below sentences.

Example :

Where are you going?       English Sentences

you are going where?       Thai Sentences

What are you doing?        English Sentences

are you doing what?        Thai Sentences

🔯     "Wh" Thai sentences are the end of the questions. And today I will show you how to say in Thai tones too. It is important for foreigners to speak Thai word. Because if you know the different in the tones you will understand the meaning of Thai language as well.

Example : 

How are you doing?                          sà - baai - dii mái?

Do you have the paper?                    kun mii grà - dàat mái?

...........mái?..........                               It 's the question.

I don't have any.                                        chán mâi mii. 

 ...........mâi..........                                        it 's negative sentence.
